A fire detection upgrade and a full set of portable fire extinguishers for a busy Belfast restaurant, with ongoing servicing.

The brief
Hendrix is a busy Belfast restaurant where the existing fire detection needed bringing up to standard. The priority throughout was protecting staff and guests without disrupting a full service.
Alongside the upgrade, the restaurant needed proper portable fire extinguisher provision and a servicing arrangement that keeps the fire alarm, extinguishers and emergency lighting certified year after year.

What we delivered
GDC upgraded the fire detection system to suit how the restaurant actually operates, staging the work around trading so the kitchen and dining room kept running.
A full complement of portable fire extinguishers was surveyed, supplied and installed, with the right extinguisher type sited at each risk. GDC now carry out the ongoing servicing for the fire alarm, extinguishers and emergency lighting, with certification issued at every visit.
