The brief

Tobar Mhuire is a much-loved period building and community retreat centre. A property like this needs its fire detection kept in proven working order all year round, and its extinguisher provision maintained and extended as the building’s use changes.

GDC were asked to take on the routine servicing and maintenance of the fire systems, and to carry out further installation work around the site as it has been needed.

What we delivered

GDC service and maintain the fire detection system and the portable fire extinguishers across the site, working sensitively around a period building and around the retreat centre’s calendar.

Alongside the maintenance contract, GDC have carried out a range of further installation work at Tobar Mhuire. Every visit is certified and documented, so the centre’s records stay complete and its compliance position stays clear.
