The brief

Wing It NI operates a number of busy food sites, each with its own fire alarm and each at a different stage. The brief was to bring every one of them up to the same standard, so the group has consistent protection and a single, predictable compliance position.

The work had to be staged around trading at each location, and the group wanted servicing for the fire alarms, extinguishers and emergency lighting handled by one company across the estate.

GDC upgraded the fire alarm system at each Wing It NI site, working through the estate site by site and scheduling around service so no location lost trading time.

Every system was commissioned, certified and documented, and GDC now carry out the ongoing servicing for the fire alarms, portable fire extinguishers and emergency lighting across all sites — one contract, one point of contact and one set of records.
